Connecting a Gmail or Outlook inbox
Authorize Prune and review the permissions you grant.
Prune connects to your inbox through your provider’s official authorization flow. You approve the connection on Google’s or Microsoft’s own screens. Prune does not ask for your password.

Choose your provider
Select Gmail or Outlook when adding an inbox.

Review the permissions
Your provider lists what Prune is requesting. Each permission is explained in plain language on our Accounts and permissions page.

Approve the connection
After you approve, Prune begins analyzing sender activity to prepare your first cleanup.
You can withdraw access at any time, in Prune, or directly in your Google or Microsoft account settings.
